The Archive Is Back — and Here's What's New
Healthy Mom on the Run is online again. A short note on what is back, what we revised, and where to start reading.
site newsarchive

If you followed this blog back in the day — welcome back. If you’re new: this site started in 2009 as a personal food blog written by a busy mom who cooked healthy family dinners, went paleo in late 2011, and documented the whole experiment in public. Its best recipes kept circulating through other bloggers’ links and readers’ bookmarks.
This year we brought the archive back.
What came back
We brought back the posts people actually kept linking to: the slow-cooker paleo chili, the freezer-worthy chicken fajitas, the Weight Watchers BBQ cheese meatloaf, the going-primal story that started the paleo chapter, and the roundup of paleo websites that readers used as a reading list for years.
Not everything made the cut. The giveaways, the diary entries and the short check-in posts stayed in the past. What mattered — and what survived in other people’s links — was the food.
What’s different this time
The recipes are the same dishes, but the posts around them are new. Each recipe was rewritten in a modern recipe format with clear ingredient lists, realistic prep times and safe internal temperatures. Where a decade of cooking wisdom suggested a better method, we said so in the notes. Where the original post made a claim that hasn’t aged well, we corrected it quietly and moved on.
Two things we did not do: we didn’t invent a persona, and we didn’t pretend the original author is still writing. Everything here is published by the editorial team behind the archive, under our editorial policy. No health promises, no miracle ingredients — just honest weeknight food.
Where to start
- Going Primal — the post other bloggers kept linking to, with the chili that started it all.
- Homemade Chicken Fajitas — cook tonight or freeze for a busy weeknight.
- Top 10 Paleo Websites — the classic 2011 roundup, updated for what’s still online.
This blog section is where we’ll post site updates, seasonal notes and meal-prep ideas going forward. Short posts, no filler — the same rule we applied to the archive itself.
Thanks for reading, then and now.
