Happy Monday! I love starting off a Monday on MOTR with a great prize giveaway for my readers. I am so excited to share with you the great new look (which I love BTW) of Traditional Medicinals the makers of great tasting herbal teas. As a pioneer of the wellness tea category for nearly 40 years, Traditional Medicinals has been connecting people with the power of plants to support natural wellness.
I was first introduced to Traditional Medicinals when I was nursing Baby A. My doctor recommended that I drink a cup of Mother’s Milk tea daily to increase lactation when I had returned back to work. I was so worried about producing enough milk when I was at work. My worries eased when I started drinking a glass of Mother’s Milk daily. I highly recommend this tea to any nursing mommy.
Mother’s Milk promotes Healthy Lactation*

Personality
Supportive, empowering and believes in you.
Herbal Power
Traditionally used to help nursing mothers with breast milk production.*
Reason to Love
While your bundle of joy is probably causing you no end of delight, moms can also feel overwhelmed and tired, especially when it comes to breastfeeding. We love the fact that this herbal tea has traditionally been used to help mothers support their production of breast milk and to promote healthy lactation.* With herbs like fennel, anise (which give the tea a sweet, licorice-like taste), coriander and fenugreek, each sip is like stepping into a tradition that has been passed down from woman to woman for hundreds of years.
Taste
Sweet, spicy, slightly bitter with a distinct licorice-like taste.
Now that I am done with nursing I have been introduced to more teas that help get me through the hustle and bustle of every day life. Traditional Medicinals has a great line of relaxation and herbal teas their herbalist love for busy moms to relieve stress*.
I had the opportunity to sample teas from the Traditional Medicinals Relaxation Tea Line. The TM herbalists carefully blend a variety of soothing herbs to create these aromatic and comforting blends to promote restful sleep*. These variety of teas can be found at grocery retailers and natural food stores throughout the U.S. (I always found the best selection at Whole Foods). Here are some of the teas that I loved with their descriptions:

eases Tension and Stress*
a best friend who tells you, “Easy now, tiger, everything’s going to be all right,” this calming blend of relaxing herbs like passionflower, chamomile, lavender and catnip will help ease tension and stress.* These herbs are called “nervines” because of their ability to have a beneficial effect on your nervous system.* We love this tea anytime we need to step back and take it easy.
Taste
A delightful blend of complex herbal tastes—floral, apple-like and minty! Personality
Calm, collected and easy-going.
Herbal Power
Helps you relax, easing tension and stress.*
Reason to Love
Like your mellow

relieves Occasional Sleeplessness*
Personality
Peaceful, soft and sleepy.
Herbal Power
Helps you relax and get a good night’s sleep.*
Reason to Love
Passionflower. We love it both for its wildly intense beauty and for its ability to calm and soothe your nervous system.* When the Spanish missionaries chanced upon it they saw the perfection of the universe reflected in its anatomical structure. The native people of the Americas used this plant for its ability to promote rest and relaxation something modern people occasionally need help with too. We’ve added other relaxing herbs, like chamomile, linden flower and hops, to create a mellow blend that will help you rest easy.*
Taste
Minty, mildly bitter and sweet, with notes of citrus and spice.
I even got the cutest mug to steep my teas in.
My girls now know that when the mug comes out it is time for a little r and r for mommy. Nothing like sipping a soothing cup of hot tea.
Are you in need of some pampering and relaxation? The kind people of Traditional Medicinals would love for MOTR to share the love by offering one of my US readers (sorry my Canadian friends) their very own tea relaxation kit. It is such a cute package that includes teas, a mug, and lavender eye mask.
Would you love to win this prize pack? Just leave a comment about which tea you have tried or love to try from the Traditional Medicinal teas. Easy peasy on this Monday! Winner will be announce next Monday, Janauray 28, 2012. (Contest ends January 27 @ 11:59 PM) Be sure to enter now

Disclaimer: I would like to thank Traditional Medicinal for providing me with opportunity to sample the relaxation tea line. Traditional Medicinals granted Mom on the Run a relaxation teak kit, but all opinions in this post are my own and I was under no obligation to write about my experience.

I am a busy mom of three amazing girls and wife to an even busier husband. When I am not teaching or driving the mini-van, you will find me in the kitchen cooking, meal planning, and of course blogging about maintaining a healthy lifestyle with a busy family schedule.

I think I would like to try the lemon detox tea.
I think the Herbal Power would help me relax and take stress off my day.
I would like to try the Nighty Night or the Easy Now. I suffer from bouts of insomnia and have started having a cup of chamomile tea before bed but I’ve heard Passion flower is wonderful for sleep. I really want to try it.
I’d like to try the Nighty Night tea. It sounds delicious and help relaxing is always welcome. I’m also interested in trying the Weightless tea, since I’ve been holding onto some water weight recently. I’m curious to see if it would make a difference in how I feel.
I’ve tried the cold care teas and the echinacea teas from them. I would like to try the Easy Now and Nighty Night.
I love their Dandelion tea. It is great mixed with a little lemon juice and a splash of cranberry for a quick everyday detox. I’d love to try their Nighty Night for those nights when you need to get to bed early even when your mind has other plans…
I’d like to try the organic peppermint tea, as I get upset stomach fairly often.
