Blogher'10
Thank you for all the kind comments about my return. It feels great to be back sharing the many adventures that Mom on the Run embarks in. I have a feeling the next few months are going to be quite interesting.
This weekend I had the amazing opportunity to attend at least one day of the Blogher annual conference. This year the conference happen to be hosted in a favorite city of mine, NYC. Of course it was too good of an opportunity to pass up and I decided I needed to go for at least one day. I had a little bit of a personal dilemma as the conference also coincided with my 6th year wedding anniversary. It was a pretty easy dilemma to solve as I decided to bring the whole Mom on the Run crew with me to the city. My family has been so supportive of the blog and thought it would be a great opportunity for all of us to share in. So without further ado…the highlight reel.
I armed myself with my business cards and left for the short journey to the city. When we arrived at the hotel I was immediately overwhelmed. So many bloggers and great events to attend. My goal was to get as much done as I could in a very little amount of time. I quickly registered and upon the suggestion of my dear friend Food Snob, I started with the Expo Halls. For those who have not been to a blog conference, the expo hall is a place that vendors and public relations people gather to share the products that they represent. Blogher definitely attracted some of the top products of the blogging world. There were booths for foodies, travel writers, and of course mom’s like me. Dad on the Run decided to explore by himself (code for he did not have a badge to explore the blog events) and the girls and I headed up to the Expo. We were in blog swag heaven.
We started first at the Milk Mustache Campaign booth. Of course the girls wanted to get their pictures with the milk mustaches.
Daijia’s Milk Mustache
Tajiah’s Milky Stash
They were so cute! I may have had a chocolate milk while waiting. We next visited the Pillsbury Make Your Own Cupcake station. While we were there we met up with Season 4 Next Food Network Star, Adam Gertler. He was also making cupcakes. After having a brief conversation about food, Tajiah and I decided to snap a photo because we are huge fans of the show.
The girls also paid a visit to a kitchen favorite, Mr. Honey Bear.
Tajiah decided to become an instant dancing diva at the Ubisoft Game Booth. She became an instant fan of Just Dance 2 that hits stores in October. She was more than happy to give it a test try.
This game gets a Tajiah rating of two dance shoes up! It was so much fun watching her dance.
Of course we explored many other booths and was able to get some pretty cool blog worthy gear. On our way to lunch my husband saw a familiar face in the hotel lobby. Overall it was a great day! My husband said that we should plan on attending next years conference because it is being hosted by one of our favorite cities, San Diego. It might just have to be our vacation plans for next year
Oh yes fellow foodies, that is Padma, host of Top Chef! My girls were so excited to meet her. She was so nice and let me snap a picture. This after Tajiah told her that Tom Colicho was mean.

soo wanted to go to blogher, it’s just fun to finally meet people in person!!!
congrats on the soon to be new family member
Great to see you back! Glad the whole family enjoyed the conference. I hope you are feeling good and the pregnancy is treating you well
