Dad on the Run is still cheering 24 hours later :) ! I am so excited for the team and a happy Dad on the Run is even more worth this win. Currently he is humming “Oh when the Saints, Go Marching in!”

Last night we went had a food Super Bowl to compliment this great game. My husband takes celebratory food menu planning very seriously. Case in point our Christmas Menu. That was quite a feast.  Here is a recap of our Super Bowl Foodie Extravaganza.

We first started with an amazing treat from a new Mom on the Run friend, Mark Bove. Mark, aka Sauce Boy, is best known lately for challenging Bobby Flay to a lasagna throwdown.

I am a huge Throwdown fan and I was so excited when Mark offered to send Mom on the Run a sample of his award winning lasagna. Even more excited was Daijia and Tajiah who love lasagna.

I would have never been able to recreate this one of kind lasagna recipe and the Super Bowl seemed like a great opportunity to heat it up and serve to the girls.

It was so easy to heat and serve. I was even happier to see that Bove’s prides itself in using all natural ingredients. Bove’s description of their lasagna.

“Our grandparents never imagined that the lasagna recipe they perfected over 70 years would be passed down from generation to generation, only to become one of the most popular dishes that Bove’s Café has ever served.
Like all Bove’s products, our lasagna is made with the freshest, all natural ingredients and a few family secrets. Layered with freshly made pasta, our hand rolled meatballs, and “some of the tastiest Marinara this side of Italy,” these ingredients create the perfect dish for your family. To maintain the homemade quality of each lasagna, we hand make it in small batches, just like we do at the restaurant.”

Daijia gave this her two thumbs up approval rating and ate 2 pieces of this pan herself. It made their Super Bowl Foodie feast so much more enjoyable. If you would like to sample this great tasting lasagna you can order your own pan on the Bove’s Website or you may even be able to find it at your local Stop and Shop (if they don’t carry Bove’s yet write and email and ask if they will carry it!)

Dad on the Run was busy whipping up these amazing treats while I opened the lasagna box.

Lobster Tails

Yes, he went a it overboard but I did have so many leftovers that I didn’t have to cook tonight. This was a bonus because I didn’t not get to bed until late, and the morning came way to early.

I need to get to bed early tonight but not before I check the weather forecast. Connecticut currently has a winter weather advisory in effect for Wednesday. UGH!

What is your favorite thing to do on a Snow Day?
